Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American boy group
that is specialized in the field of pop. The group was formed in 2009. The
group is comprised of Kendall Schmidt and James Maslow along with Logan
Henderson and Carlos PenaVega. They initially signed to Nick Records in 2009
before switching to Columbia Records. The group appeared on Nickelodeon's TV
series with the same title, Big Time Rush. From November 28th, 2009 to July 25
in 2013, the show was on air. The pilot episode featured the group’s first
single promo, "Big Time Rush". The band has released three albums,
including BTR in 2010 and Elevate in 2011 and 24/Seven in 2013. In 2014, the
group went on an indefinite hiatus that ran until 2021. They returned to live
performances in the studio, and then released "Call It Like It Sees
It". Nickelodeon has signed Big Time Rush to a recording deal in 2009,
concurrently with the TV show Big Time Rush. In the following year, Nickelodeon
partnered with Columbia/Epic Label Group to produce the show and add original
music to the show. The first single from the group, "Big Time Rush",
appeared on the series on the 29th of November, 2009. Officially revealed on
Nickelodeon and first aired in the U.S. November 2009 and it was then broadcast
globally. It was featured on a preview of the series for one hour and serves as
the opening song of the show. There were promotional singles released by the
show, including "City is Ours" (with Big Time Rush) and "Any
Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush performed "Famous" by Play. The song
was released to iTunes on June 29th, 2010. The second track, "Halfway
There", was also released to iTunes after it's premiere on the series. It
was soon their first charting song on the Billboard Hot 100. It hit 93 on the
list thanks to the digital sales. On September 21 the 21st of September, 2010
Big Time Rush released second single "Till I Forget About You" in
promotion of the debut album's release. The album, called BTR It was released
on October 11 on the 11th of October, the 11th of October, 2010. It debuted at
number three on the Billboard 200. It sold an initial 67,000 copies.
