Evan Rachel Wood was born September 7, 1987 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her father, Ira David Wood III (a theatre actor, writer, director) is her father. Sara Wood Wood is her mother and actress. Her brothers who are older than her are Dana Wood, a musician and Ira David Wood IV who have also been actors. Evan as well as her brothers appeared in the Theatre In The Park, Raleigh in the same place where her father serves as the executive director. After a lengthy audition at the age of five, she was old when she had the opportunity to screen-test against Kirsten Dunst. In the year 1996, she relocated to Los Angeles along with her brother Ira and mom. She has appeared in TV series, feature films, and TV movies since.
