Dolly Rebecca Parton

Dolly Rebecca Parton was born on the 19th of January 1946 in Pittman Center, Tennessee and was raised in Sevierville, Tennessee to Avie Lee Parton, a homewife and Robert Lee Parton, a tobacco farmer. She was appearing on Knoxville TV at 12 years old. At 13, she recorded on an unnamed label and singing on the Grand Ole Opry. After having graduated from high school in 1964, she moved to Nashville for the start of her country-singing career. Carl Dean, an asphalt-paving businessman, fell in love with her and they got married on May 30th the 30th of May, 1966. Porter Wagoner saw her singing and invited her to appear on The Porter Wagoner Show (1961). She remained on the show for seven years. Her duets became famous, and she performed with Porter Wagoner's group at the Grand Ole Opry. She also sold records and toured. In the year that her hit "Joshua" was ranked #1 in the year 1970, her fame had overshadowed his, and she branched out on her own, even though she recorded duets with him. In 1974, she quit the duo to become a solo artist. Dolly became a huge hit as a singer/songwriter. Dolly was awarded numerous Country Music Association awards (1968, 1970, 1971, 1975, 1976). The diminutive (5'0") beauty was a natural for television at the time, and by the middle of the 1970s she was often appearing on television specials and talk shows prior to launching her own, Dolly (1976). Dolly won her first Grammy award in 1977 for Best Female Country Vocal Performance. Dolly's film debut came in 9 to 5 (1980), where she was awarded an Oscar nomination for writing the title song, and Grammy awards 2, 3, Best Country Song, and Best Female Country Vocal Performance for the track "Nine to Five." The fame continued to grow with her roles in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (1982) as along with Rhinestone (1984), with the track "Tennessee Homesick Blues". Dolly Parton Enterprises, worth $100 million, is her chief. Dollywood was established in Pigeon Forge in Tennessee in 1986 to celebrate her Smoky-Mountain heritage. She was a part of the Dolly (1987 TV series) as her character. In 1988 she was awarded another Grammy: Best Country Performance Duo or Group with Vocals, for "Trio".

Big Time Rush is an American boy group that is specialized in the field of pop. The group was formed in 2009. The group is comprised of Kendall Schmidt and James Maslow along with Logan Henderson and Carlos PenaVega. They initially signed to Nick Records in 2009 before switching to Columbia Records.
