Zachary Galifianakis

Zachary Knight Galifianakis Greek pronunciation born October 1st, 1969) is an American actor, comedian as well as a musician and writer. He appeared on the Comedy Central Presents special and hosted his own show Late World with Zach on VH1. Galifianakis was in several films such as The Hangover trilogy (2009-2013), Due Date (2010) and The Campaign (2012). He also appeared in Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance (2014) as well as Masterminds (2016). Galifianakis voiced characters in animated films like Puss In Boots (2011) and The Lego Batman Movie (2017). He has also voiced Missing Link (2019) and Ron's Gone Wrong (2211). Galifianakis is currently host of the comedy show Between Two Ferns, with Zach Galifianakis. Galifianakis starred on the FX series Baskets. He was nominated in 2017 for the Primetime Emmy Award as Outstanding Lead Actor in Comedy Series. Zachary Knight Galifianakis, a North Carolina native, was born on October 1 1969, in Wilkesboro. The actor is the father of Mary Frances (nee Cashion), and Harry Galifianakis, a heating oil retailer. His mother is English and Scottish-Irish, whereas his paternal grandparents hail from Crete. His father was a Greek Orthodox Christian and he was baptized. He has Merritt and his younger sister as well as Greg the older brother of his. His cousin is Washington Post cartoonist Nick Galifianakis His uncle, also named Nick Galifianakis, is a politician. Galifianakis was a student at Wilkes Central High School. Then he went to North Carolina State University and majored in communications. Galifianakis worked for a public radio station while in college. He taught the waltz class, in 1991 when he walked into a meeting with Mary J. Blige. Following his debut on television Boston Common, Galifianakis joined Saturday Night Live for two weeks. He's stated "I did work for Saturday Night Live for two weeks, and Britney Spears was host for a week while I was there. I wrote a sketch. Will Ferrell was to be her bodyguard at her belly button. We were going to shrink Will so that he could fit into a belly button. When I explained the idea to them, she stared at me. Then she said, "Yeah, that's funny." Galifianakis starred in Out Cold and also had roles in Corky Romano, Below, Bubble Boy and Heartbreakers.
