Aisha Jamila Hinds is a famous American actor. She is famous for the roles she played on TV series The Shield, and True Blood. Since her debut in 2003, she has proven her range as an actress by giving impressive performances in television series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1-8-7 as well as Under the Dome. Her role of Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was her first performance to attract her the attention of viewers. It was however her performance as feminist activist Fannie Lou Hamer in the biographical film All the Way that finally gave her acclaim as an actress. Hind was praised for her portrayal of Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. She has an older brother Aditya Rai, who is a merchant navy engineer. His brother wrote and produced the movie Dil Ka Rishta with their mother. Her family moved to Mumbai, where she attended Arya Vidya Mandir. Jai Hind College in Mumbai was where she finished her intermediate schooling for one year, before enrolling in D.G. Ruparel College, Matunga. The college scored 91% on her H.S.C. exams. She was a classical music student and dance for five years during her teenage period. She adored the study of zoology.
